Wheat Starch Production : Overview

Wheat starch is a vital ingredient used in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications. At M/S MANOHAR MALTO, we specialize in producing high-quality wheat starch through a careful and efficient process that ensures purity, consistency, and maximum yield.

Wheat Starch Production

Raw Material

Wheat grains : Selected for quality, protein content, and moisture.
Water : Used in extraction and washing processes.

Production Process

  1. Cleaning and Sorting : Wheat grains are cleaned to remove stones, dust, and impurities using sieves, aspirators, and magnetic separators.
  2. Milling/Grinding : Cleaned wheat is ground into a fine slurry to release starch granules from the endosperm.
  3. Separation of Starch : The slurry is passed through screens and centrifuges to separate starch from fibers, proteins, and gluten.
  4. Washing and Purification : Extracted starch is washed multiple times to remove any remaining impurities and proteins, producing pure wheat starch.
  5. Dewatering and Drying : Purified starch is dewatered and dried into a fine powder for easy storage and usage.
