rice Starch Production

Raw Material

Rice grains (paddy or white rice) : Selected for quality, moisture, and starch content.
Water : Used for soaking and extraction processes.

Production Process

  1. Cleaning and Sorting : Rice grains are cleaned to remove stones, dust, husks, and other impurities using sieves, aspirators, and magnets.
  2. Soaking/Conditioning : Rice is soaked in water to soften the grains and facilitate starch extraction.
  3. Grinding/Slurry Preparation : Soaked rice is ground into a slurry to release starch granules.
  4. Separation of Starch : The slurry is filtered and centrifuged to separate starch from fiber and protein residues.
  5. Washing and Purification : Extracted starch is washed multiple times to remove impurities, producing pure rice starch.
  6. Dewatering and Drying : Purified starch is dewatered and dried into fine, free-flowing powder.
