Rice Starch Production : Overview
Rice starch is a versatile ingredient widely used in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications. At M/S MANOHAR MALTO, we produce high-quality rice starch through a meticulous process that ensures purity, consistency, and maximum efficiency.
Raw Material
Rice grains (paddy or white rice) : Selected for quality, moisture, and starch content.
Water : Used for soaking and extraction processes.
Production Process
- Cleaning and Sorting : Rice grains are cleaned to remove stones, dust, husks, and other impurities using sieves, aspirators, and magnets.
- Soaking/Conditioning : Rice is soaked in water to soften the grains and facilitate starch extraction.
- Grinding/Slurry Preparation : Soaked rice is ground into a slurry to release starch granules.
- Separation of Starch : The slurry is filtered and centrifuged to separate starch from fiber and protein residues.
- Washing and Purification : Extracted starch is washed multiple times to remove impurities, producing pure rice starch.
- Dewatering and Drying : Purified starch is dewatered and dried into fine, free-flowing powder.
